IN SEASON
Eyes on his target, Dre Kyles '28 prepares to launch on the offensive player as the Raiders begin their play. While Warrior defense consistently slowed the Raiders down, the Raiders still managed sporadic touchdowns, eventually driving them to victory.
With her eyes never leaving the ball, Georgia Leuck '29 jumps to prepare for her serve. Leuck's solid serves throughout the game led to back-and-forth rallies.
Kicking their feet in unison, the varsity volleyball team hypes each other up immediately before the game. The group huddle is a tradition before every game, establishing camaraderie.
Showcasing practiced coordination, Sophie Chen '29 springs upwards to set the ball for her teammate, Liberty Hargave '29. Prepared, Hargave runs forward in the hopes of achieving a kill.
Setting herself up for a backhand, Jiya Guleria '28 readies to hit a cross court shot. The athlete had a successful run in the previous season and has a record of beating higher ranked competitors.
Focused, Grace Toledo '28 prepares to set the ball, as part of the warm up. Toledo played a crucial role in backrow during the Warrior's game against the Raiders. "[In the third set] we fixed our serves, and filled in the gaps," Toledo said.

LACROSSE
Racing down the field Audrey Coplen '26 swiftly dodges the defender. The Menlo-Atherton Bears came from California to compete with the Warriors.
Calling to her teammates, Talia Philip '25 looks for someone open to pass to. Philip played a more casual defensive role during the game.
With two Tigers on her heels, defensive player Elly Howell '26 takes the ball around the net in hopes of making a pass. During the game, both defense and offense positions played smarter through every quarter. "Usually we're not as smart about our passes, but this game we got more open. We got more passes and more shooting able to happen, more teamwork happening this game," Howell said.
Consoling the players, Defensive Coordinator Justin Becker congratulates the players for their explosive fourth quarter comeback. Even though the Warriors were down 8-1 by the beginning of the quarter, the Warrior offense allowed the score to be brought up to 8-5 at the end of regulation.
SOCCER
Back to back, Nadia Gianetti '26 boxes out her defender to gain possession of the ball. In a high stakes game, like this playoff game, possession is key.
Jumping into the air, Tayla Score '25 heads the ball towards the goal. A few moments later, the Warriors gained control of the ball and took a shot at the goal.
Carefully dribbling forward, Dhruv Pandare '27 initiates another Warrior attack despite the Ranger's resistance.
After a half with no goals, Aiden Shen '26 and Ishaan Saini '26 celebrate their first point of the night as they run down the field. The goal was scored by Shen.
BASEBALL & SOFTBALL
Powering through a fastball, Ardavan Jahangiri '28 swings with all his might. Jahangiri ultimately didn't achieve much success as a batter, but was part of crucial plays in the infield. “[We’ve] improved astronomically, it’s absurd,” Jahangiri said. “[Our] technique is on point, we know where the ball is going, we’re not being reactive, we’re being active.”
Coming out of a forward stance, Sterling Woodley '26 relaxes after a strike. The catcher held the ball as Westwood amassed another strike, but Woodley made a comeback, scoring the Warriors another point.

TRACK
Throughout high school, Violet Hewett '25 has competed for Westwood's swim and track team, as well as doing club track. Through hard work, dedication, and support from her coaches, Hewett will continue her track journey at Duke University under a track scholarship.
Taking off swiftly, the varsity boys cross country team leaves the starting line ready for the 3-mile trek ahead. The Boys had a successful first and second meet and looked to continue with a third.
Storming through the course, the Westwood cross country team competes in their first meet of the season at Vista Ridge. The Warriors looked to start off their season strong with a good performance all around.
Priya Gangadharan ‘23, Will Murray ‘23, and Preston Sanderville ‘23 celebrate their signing, looking ahead to their futures.
